MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Some Brattleboro, Vermont, residents have been evacuated from their homes due to an ice jam on a brook that has caused flooding.
Mynbc5.com reports that Mountain Home Trailer Park, the Glen Trailer Park and a public housing facility in southern Vermont town were being evacuated Thursday afternoon.
The National Weather Service warned that localized flooding was possible Thursday afternoon and night from the heavy rain and snow melt causing rivers to rise. It's also warning about ice jams. Another ice jam had been reported on the New Haven river.
The Vermont Agency of Transportation says some roads around the state are flooded. Officials say a mud slide was reported in Arlington.
Parts of southern and central New Hampshire and southwestern Maine are under a flood warning until 8 p.m.
